The rarest gliders in Fortnite are:

  • Warthog Glider
  • Heartspan Glider
  • Rotor
  • Mako Glider
  • Stealth Pivot

Fortnite is chock full of wacky items, be they original or crossovers, and the main focus of this is the massive number of skins in the game. But one crucial but perhaps a little underrated part of the game’s customisation is its gliders, featuring in every single match as you plummet from the battle bus.

But out of all of the gliders that have been released during the many years since Fortnite first hit the gaming scene, some of them are significantly rarer than others. Whether they were only available for a limited time, or simply came too early in Fortnite’s life cycle, we’ve put together a list of the five rarest gliders in Fortnite history.

5. Warthog Glider

The Warthog Glider is an item that has been around almost since the start, first dropping into Fortnite back in October 2017. And while it did appear a fair number of times in the Item Shop over the next couple of years, it hasn’t been seen once since its last appearance way back in April 2019.

It’s not a particularly special glider, nor is it related to any events or collaborations, so it’s certainly not out of the question for this one to make a return some day soon.

4. Heartspan Glider

The Heartspan Glider is one of the most unique and best-looking gliders in the game. Released for free for Valentine’s Day in 2019, it features a bright pink heart wrapped in ribbons with two angel wings either side. While it was initially available for free, players only had three days to get it and it hasn’t been seen since February 16 2019.

Given the one-off nature of this item, we wouldn’t be surprised if it never makes a return in the Item Shop, meaning it’s only going to get rarer as time goes on.

3. Rotor

The Rotor is a pretty slick glider, bearing more of a resemblance to some kind of hovercraft than to many traditional gliders. It’s also exceedingly rare, as the only way to get it was to buy a special Nintendo Switch bundle back in 2018. While there are sure to be plenty out here, the Switch isn’t the most popular platform for Fortnite, and it’s a lot to spend just to get a glider, so there aren’t likely to be many knocking around.

Add to that the fact that the glider can no longer be obtained, and this is certainly up there as one of the rarest gliders in Fortnite, at least as long as the bundle it came with doesn’t make a return.

2. Stealth Pivot

The Stealth Pivot is a unique glider in that it was only available by purchasing something outside of Fortnite. A collaboration with Nvidia way back in 2017, it was only available to players who purchased one of Nvidia’s GeForce graphics cards, coming bundled with the Counterattack set and 2,000 V-Bucks.

It’s a high price to pay, and with it not making a return since then, it doesn’t look like there will ever be any more of these added to the game.

1. Mako Glider

Not only is the Mako Glider the rarest glider in Fortnite, but it might be one of the rarest items in the entire game. Released during the very first season of Fortnite, players only had to reach Level 25 to unlock it, and it even had a short stint in the Item Shop afterwards. Since then, however, it’s not been seen at all.

Seeing only one release, and at the very start of the game’s life cycle at that, the Mako Glider really is one of the rarest items in the game, marking any account that has one to be a real veteran of the game.
