You need to get online before the event starts

The next Fortnite live event begins on Friday at 6:30 PM Eastern Time. However, if you try to get on at this time, you will most likely miss the event. You need to keep in mind that live events in Fortnite have millions of players, which is why you need to get online at least 30 minutes before to reserve a spot. Many players will get online to attend the event, which is why it’s essential to reserve a spot before servers are overloaded. If you have extra time, get in the game at least an hour before.

To attend the event, you will join a special game mode

Epic Games will most likely release a new game mode (playlist) 30 minutes before the event starts. The playlist has an event name, and you’ll have to join it to attend the event.
