Crafting items in LEGO Fortnite is one of the most satisfying mechanics. Once you craft a weapon, you become much stronger and you can use it to take enemies down. Unfortunately, nearly all items have limited durability, which is a big problem at every stage of the game.

At the moment, you cannot increase the durability of your items. However, if you want to repair your items in LEGO Fortnite, we have a simple trick you can use. Using this trick, you can get all of your items back to 100% durability in just a couple of seconds.

UPDATE (December 13, 5:20 AM ET): It appears that Epic Games patched repairing items through chests. You can see the original method below and give it a try. However, it most likely won’t work.

Where to repair items in LEGO Fortnite

To repair your items in LEGO Fortnite, you need to put them in a chest. A small chest requires 6 Planks, which you can get easily. To get Planks, you first need to get Wood by chopping down trees or picking it up from the ground.

Once you have Wood, use a Lumber Mill to turn it into Planks. To repair your items, you need 6 Planks, and you will need to pick them up manually once they are ready.

To repair your items, we suggest you craft the smallest chest. Not only does it require Planks, which are one of the most basic ingredients, but it also has 10 slots. This is more than enough to repair all of your weapons and items in LEGO Fortnite.

You can craft a chest anywhere

If your weapons are close to breaking while you are exploring the world or visiting a cave, you can craft a chest and repair them. You don’t have to be in your village to craft it, so make sure to take advantage of this.

Once you have your chest, place the items that you need to repair inside.

To move your items to the chest, simply select them in your inventory and move them to the right side. The right side of your screen will show the contents of the chest, so make sure to place your items there. As you can see in our screenshot above, the Longsword was nearly at its maximum durability, while the Recurve Crossbow and Forest Axe were around 50%.

After placing your LEGO Fortnite items in a chest, you need to close it and break it. To break a chest, hit it with a couple of melee attacks. Once you do so, you will get your items back, and they will have 100% durability!

As you can see in the screenshot above, your items will be fully repaired. On top of this, you will also get 6 Planks back, allowing you to craft another chest and do the process all over again.

This is likely a glitch that will be fixed in a future LEGO Fortnite update. For now, however, you can use this trick to easily repair your weapons and items wherever you are in the world.
