Fortnite Item Shop today FAQ

What is the Fortnite Item Shop?

The Fortnite Item Shop is an in-game shop that sells a variety of cosmetic items in exchange for V-Bucks, Fortnite’s in-game currency. Some items can also be purchased for real money. The shop’s inventory changes every day, offering players an ever-changing selection of outfits, skins, emotes, gliders, back blings, wraps, bundles, and more.

Can I use Fortnite cosmetics in every game mode?

Fortnite Battle Royale is the most popular game mode, although some new daily items cannot be used in it. For example, Auras are exclusive to Fortnite Festival, while cars can be used in both Rocket Racing and Battle Royale.

When does the Fortnite Item Shop update?

The shop sells cosmetics for 24 hours before replacing them with a fresh batch. The Fortnite item shop’s rotation updates and resets daily at midnight UTC, which works out as follows for different time zones:

  • 7 pm ET
  • 4 pm PT
  • 1 am CET

During certain special events or to coincide with the introduction of new modes, Epic Games occasionally shifts the reset time to earlier in the day. This was the case with the LEGO Fortnite and Fortnite Rocket Racing modes, for example.

When do cosmetics return to the Item Shop?

Popular cosmetics typically return to the Fortnite Item Shop within roughly a month. For less desirable cosmetics, the return time frame is looser, stretching as far as several months to years. Seasonal cosmetics return to the shop during the holiday period they mark or celebrate.

How long does it take for Fortnite Item Shop to change?

The Fortnite Item Shop changes every 24 hours and brings new items. However, Epic Games has changed its schedule a couple of times, but this has only happened on special occasions.

How to check the Item Shop history?

At the moment, it’s not possible to check the Fortnite Item Shop history in the game. The game only shows the live Item Shop, but you may use third-party websites to check this data.

Is there any way to check a correct Item Shop prediction in Fortnite?

Unfortunately, it’s impossible to make a correct Fortnite Item Shop prediction. At times, Fortnite leakers reveal release dates of new starter packs or a daily section in the shop. Other than that, there is no way of knowing what will come to the shop.
