Many Fortnite players are wondering where to find Epic Games ID. This ID is a random string of characters that is unique for each account. The Federal Trade Commission requires it to process a claim for a Fortnite refund worth $245 million, which is why players need it.

Starting with September 19, you can get a Fortnite refund from the FTC settlement. However, you need to be eligible for this, and you also need to find the ID of your Epic Games account. If you’re not sure how to do this, we’ve prepared a simple guide for you.

Where is my Epic Games ID located?

To find your Epic Games ID, you will have to log in to your Fortnite account on epicgames.com. If you have a two-factor authentication enabled, you will receive an approval code to your email or phone number.

Once you log in, you’ll have to follow the steps below to find your ID:

  • Open Account settings by tapping your username
  • Check the Account Information section
  • Locate your ID

Before you use this ID in the FTC refund, make sure you are logged in to an eligible account. You are eligible for the Fortnite refund if you had an unwanted transaction between January 2017 and November 2022, or if your account was locked due to complaints about wrongful charges.

Once you enter your Epic Games ID, the website will automatically check your eligibility. If you’re not eligible, you’ll receive an error message. Otherwise, your claim will be filed, and you’ll receive a refund from the video game developer.

At the moment, it’s unknown when exactly these refunds will be processed. However, considering that the deadline to file a claim is January 17, 2024, they will likely be processed early next year. For more information, please visit the official website of the FTC.
