Fortnite is once again offering a free skin to players. This time, Epic Games is rolling out a new map for the Reload mode. The map will come out on October 9, but only those who compete in the upcoming cup and perform well will get access to it. For everyone else, the map will be rolled out at a later date.
Early access to the new Reload map is not the only benefit that you can get today. Besides that, you can unlock the Dark Maw skin for free. This Fortnite skin hasn’t been released yet, but it will likely come to the Item Shop by the end of the year.
How to unlock Dark Maw skin in Fortnite for free?
To unlock the Dark Maw skin early, you will have to compete in the Early Access Cup on Friday, October 3. This is a Duo cup, so bring your favorite teammate to help you out! If you finish among the top 25% of players in your region, you will receive early access to the new Reload map, as well as the new skin.
It’s important to note that you won’t get access to the new map right away. Epic Games revealed that it will come out on October 9, so you will have to wait for a new update to play it.
If you miss the opportunity to compete on Friday, the cup will return on Sunday, October 5. Once again, you will need to finish in the top 25% in your region to get the Dark Maw skin for free.
