How to find wonderkids in FM24

First things first, before you can start finding wonderkids, you need to know where to look. The best places to look for wonderkids are South America and certain countries in Europe. In order to scout these regions, you need to have the required scouting range. Head to your Scouting tab, and under the Scouting Range section, ensure you’re paying for the World package. This will let you scout anywhere in the world.

Next, you’ll want to narrow down to a few countries. Brazil and Argentina are the obvious choices, and are your best bet to find the best players. However, players from these countries are also more expensive, so might not be in your budget. Other countries have fewer wonderkids, but at a more affordable price. These include Colombia, Uruguay, Chile, and Ecuador, as well as a couple of surprise European countries like Serbia and Sweden.

From here, narrow down your search to players aged below 23, preferably who are regularly playing for their teams already. A great way of finding wonderkids is to scout the youth ranks of these national teams. Scout the U21s of these countries, and watch out for anyone aged 19 or younger, as this suggests them playing at a higher than expected level, and especially those with a five-star potential ability.

Lastly, keep an eye out for the yearly NxGn awards. This ranks the top 50 young players in the world, and there are often some bargains to be had here. Scout every player, and there are guaranteed to be at least a few that you’ll want to sign.
