Much of this is down to the unique abilities he can wield, ranging from spells to acrobatic dashes to extract himself from tight spots. Resetting abilities in Final Fantasy 16
To reset abilities in Final Fantasy 16, enter the options menu and navigate to the Abilities tab then hold down the Touch Pad button on PS5. After a few seconds, you’ll see all previously assigned abilities disappear from the tree, giving you a clean slate to start anew. This also applies to any ability upgrades you’ve unlocked. You can also reset an individual non-core ability and refund its points by hovering over it in the Abilities tab and holding square on PS5, or you can lock abilities by pressing R3 should you want to keep any while resetting.
Resetting your abilities recoups all your previously spent ability points and you can now reassign them as you see fit. There’s no cost associated with resetting abilities in Final Fantasy 16, which means you can tinker and reassign freely. The main benefit of this is that you can experiment with alternative builds that prioritise certain spells and abilities to carve out a fighting style that suits you.
