FC 24 Icon Upgrade Evolution – How to complete and best players to upgrade

Another Evolution has come in FUT 24, this time letting you upgrade an Icon! This guide looks at the Icon Upgrade Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team.

How to complete Icon Upgrade Evolution

Completing the Icon Upgrade Evolution in FC 24 Ultimate Team will take a minimum of 9 matches. There are three levels to the Evolution, each with its own upgrade. The Evolution will cost 200,000 Coins or 1,000 FP to unlock.

Level 1 – Overall +1, Shooting +2, Passing +1, Dribbling +1, Defending +1, Physical +1

• Win 3 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.
• Win 2 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) match by at least 2 goals on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.

Level 2 – Pace +1, Passing +1, Defending +1, Physicality +2, Tika Taka PlayStyle

• Play 3 Rivals or Champions match using your active EVO player in game.
• Win 3 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) matches on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.
• Assist 5 goals using your active EVO player in Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) on min. Semi-Pro.

Level 3 – Overall +1, Pace +2, Shooting +2, Passing +1, Dribbling +2, First Touch PlayStyle

• Win 3 Rivals or Champions match using your active EVO player in game.
• Score 5 goals using your active EVO player in Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) on min. Semi-Pro.
• Win 3 Squad Battles (or Rivals/Champions) match by at least 2 goals on min. Semi-Pro using your active EVO player in game.

Socrates (89 OVR)

One of the four 89-rated players you can use in the Icon Upgrade Evolution in FC 24, Socrates is definitely the pick of the bunch. At 6’4″, he is a big man, which is unusual to see as a CAM. Although he does have poor balance, his other dribbling stats are impressive. Add a Hunter to him and he will have 93 PAC and 98 SHO, with a 91.8 Meta Rating!

Bastian Schweinsteiger (88 OVR)

EasySBC tells us that German midfielder Bastian Schweinsteiger is the best player to upgrade in this EVO, coming out the other side with a 92.7 Meta Rating. A Shadow sorts out his low pace issue, and adding one after the upgrade will see his stats read as 87 PAC, 87 SHO, 89 PAS, 86 DRI, 91 DEF, and 86 PHY. Definitely a true box-to-box player!

Robin van Persie (88 OVR)

We weren’t too sold on using Robin van Persie in the Icon Upgrade Evolution, but soon changed our mind after seeing the stats he would gain in FC 24 Ultimate Team! We thought he would be too slow to compete up top, however, with a Hunter he will have 95 PAC! Combine that with 99 SHO and 90 DRI and he could be your new deadly forward.
