The F1 23 closed beta period has finally been announced and fans of the adrenaline-filled racing series are now looking for ways to sign up for the pre-release phase. Though details on the upcoming installment remains sparse ahead of its release, players are already itching to get back into the driver’s seat especially with the unusual hiatus of the game’s real life counterpart.

Now that the closed beta is set to take place soon, we’ll be showing you how to sign up so you can experience the excitement earlier than most. If you’ve raring to get racing even earlier, check out when F1 22 is heading to Game Pass.

How to get in the F1 23 closed beta period

In order to sign up for the F1 23 closed beta, you will need to follow these steps:

  • Head to the official EA Playtesting website.
  • Press the “Become a Playtester” button found at the top of the home page.
  • Sign in to your EA account by choosing your preferred platform or entering your credentials.
  • Read through and accept EA’s playtesting agreements.
  • You’ll then have to answer a questionnaire that includes your basic information, the type of playtests you want to join, and the place where you want to do the playtests (either in-studio or at-home).
  • Afterwards, you’ll be able to select the “F1- Playtest Registration” on your account home page.
  • Finally, you’ll need to accept a few more agreements after which you’ll receive an email as soon as an F1 playtest is scheduled.

As always, it’s important to keep in mind that simply registering for the closed beta does not guarantee a spot once it takes place. You will also need to register before April 21, 2023 in order to be considered for a spot in the playtest. Otherwise, you’ll have to wait for the game’s actual release to play it.
