- There are three Elden Ring Colosseum modes for PVP: Duel, United Combat, and Combat Ordeal.
With the arrival of Elden Ring’s new Colosseum DLC in December, we have access to a host of PvP modes to test our combat mettle. The update brings three colosseums to the game, one in Limgrave, one in Caelid, and another in the Royal Colosseum in Leyndell. Each arena in the Lands Between offers various PvP modes. In this guide, we’ll break down each of these Elden Ring Colosseum modes.
Limgrave Colosseum modes
Each Colosseum in Elden Ring lets you take part in different battles. The first one in Limgrave lets you try out United Combat and Combat Ordeal. The Limgrave Colosseum is the only one that does not let you take part in the Duel mode.
United Combat Mode – Two teams of one or more players face each other in a limited-time fight of 300 seconds. During the fight, players must kill each other to rack up points. The team or player with the highest point tally at the end wins. Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears are allowed.
Combat Ordeal Mode – A free-for-all where all players are enemies that’s similar in format to United Combat. Players have 300 seconds to rack up the biggest tally of kills. Flasks of Crimson and Cerulean Tears are allowed.
Leyndell Colosseum modes
The Leyndell Colosseum only has one mode available – Duel. This means if you want to do Combat Ordeal or United Combat, you will have to go to a different colosseum.
Duel Mode – Players engage in a classic 1vs1 fight to the death with no respawns. The first one to kill the other wins. Each fight lasts a maximum of 180 secs. You can use Flasks of Cerulean Tears but not Crimson Tears.
Caelid Colosseum Modes
As the final colosseum in Elden Ring, the one in Caelid gives you access to all three modes. Spirit ashes are permitted for use in all modes here, meaning you can summon any spirit ashes you may have to help you fight off other players.
Duel Mode – Same as above, but with spirit ashes allowed.
United Combat Mode – Same as above, but with spirit ashes allowed.
Combat Ordeal Mode – Same as above, but with spirit ashes allowed.
If you have visited all the Colosseums, you can access each of them with ease from the Roundtable Hold. That covers it for the new PvP modes in the Elden Ring Colosseum update. Check out our Elden Ring Colosseum locations guide if you’re having trouble tracking them down.
