How to turn off crossplay in Black Ops 6 on PS4 and PS5
You can turn off crossplay for the PS4 and PS5 by following these steps:
- On the Black Ops 6 main menu, press Start on your controller and select the Gear icon to open the Settings page.
- Scroll down to the Account & Network category.
- Under the Online category, you’ll immediately see the Crossplay and Crossplay Communication options. You can toggle these off by pressing X.
- Once crossplay is turned off, you’ll be matched with console players in every lobby you join afterward.
It is worth pointing out that turning off crossplay can lengthen queue times since the game would pull from a slightly smaller player base. So, we recommend keeping this setting on if you want to find matches quickly,
How to turn off crossplay in Black Ops 6 on Xbox
Unfortunately, the Xbox version of Black Ops 6 doesn’t have a built-in toggle for turning crossplay on or off. However, there is another method you can try out instead:
- On your Xbox console’s Home page, head to the Settings menu by pressing the Gear icon at the top.
- Under General, select the “Online Safety & Family” option.
- Press “Privacy & Online Safety.”
- Select “Xbox Privacy.”
- Scroll down and press the “View Details & Customize” option.
- Head to the “Communication & Multiplayer” tab.
- Under the “You can join cross-network play panel,” select the drop-down menu and choose the “Block” option.
Remember that since this setting is for your console, you’ll need to toggle it again if you want to experience cross-platform play on other games. Unfortunately, Activision and Treyarch haven’t revealed if they plan on introducing a dedicated crossplay toggle into Black Ops 6 for Xbox players, so you’ll have to remain patient for now.
How to turn off crossplay in Black Ops 6 on PC
Unfortunately, you cannot turn off crossplay on PC. No matter what platform you play on (Steam or Battle.net), the game does not have a dedicated crossplay toggle, meaning you’ll have no choice but to queue up with PlayStation and Xbox players. Luckily, if you want the added bonus of playing with Aim Assist, you can still plug your controller into your rig to enjoy it.
