If one thing’s for certain, it’s that Rocksteady knows a thing or two about Batman. As such, Arkham Knight’s Gotham City is full to the brim with Easter Eggs referencing Dark Knight lore. There’s even time to throw in a reference to another major gaming franchise. Below is a list of seven easter eggs while cleaning up Gotham’s streets as the Caped Crusader.

Lex Luthor – LexCorp

Want a giant Superman reference in Arkham Knight? Well Lex luthor leaves his mark on the game with a giant LexCorp building at the heart of Ryker Heights. Lex Luthor also leaves Bruce Wayne a voicemail inside Wayne Tower, trying to negotiate a business deal.

Oliver Queen – The Green Arrow

The Green Arrow has decided to set up his business right next to LexCorp, with ‘Queen Industries’ across the way.

The Gray Ghost

A quick glide around Gotham and you’ll stumble across numerous posters for “The Ghost in Gray”, and while this may look like a simple in-game movie with no ties to Batman, it is in fact a character from the Adam West era, later portrayed in an episode of the animated series.

Game director Sefton Hill

At the very start of the game, when the police officer enters Pauli’s Diner, the gentlemen who exits is an in-game version of Sefton Hill.

Bane’s home sweet home

Bane may not make an appearance in Arkham Knight (except for in the form of a solution to The Riddler’s Riddles), but there are many billboards littering Gotham referring to the holiday destination of Santa Prisca, Bane’s birthplace.

Who does he think he is? Superman?

The goons of Gotham may be petrified of Batman, but one person they’re even more fearful of is Metropolis’ Man of Steel. Several times throughout the game, you’ll hear crooks compare Bats to his heroic rival. “That’ll teach him anyway. Who the hell does he think he is anyway? Superman?” is just one of the moans you’ll hear from the crooks.

The Joker goes full Metal Gear

If you die at certain points in the game, The Joker will replicate The Colonel’s infamous “Snaaaaaaake” Codec call from Metal Gear Solid with a “Bats, Bats, BAAAAAAAAATS!!” death screen.
