Want to know how to hide the version number in Baldur’s Gate 3? Baldur’s Gate 3 looks great, and has a clean and well-designed UI to boot, all except for one small thing – the version number. In the top right of your screen, just below your map, you’ve probably noticed your game’s version number standing out like a sore thumb and just wanted to get rid of it. That’s where we come in to tell you how to do that.

If you’ve just got started with the game, you might want to know how long is Baldur’s Gate 3 to see how much time you can expect to put in. And if you want some in-depth help when it comes to understanding Baldur’s Gate 3 abilities, we’ve got you covered there, too.

How do you hide the version number in Baldur’s Gate 3?

The only way to hide the version number in Baldur’s Gate 3 is to disable the entire UI by pressing F10. As you can imagine, this is not exactly the most ideal solution to this problem. Disabling the UI not only gets rid of the version number but also your mini-map, abilities, items, party members – everything. This can make the game somewhat difficult to play, it must be said.

Back when Baldur’s Gate 3 was in early access, the version number being clearly available made a lot of sense. It allowed players to immediately know what build of the game they were on, so if they had any suggestions for balance changes or bug fixes, they could report which build they happened on. Now, with the game fully released, it doesn’t seem like there’s the same need for the version number, so hopefully, Larian Games will be giving us the option to hide it properly soon enough.

It’s not all doom and gloom, though, as hiding the UI does have some moments where it can be useful. If you want to view the cutscenes without the clutter of UI, simply pressing F10 will let you do that without the version number. If you’re the type to take plenty of screenshots, hiding the UI will help you get the cleanest screenshots possible, too.
