As part of the Mapping Living Lands side quest, you’ll have to track down cartographers in all the major regions – Dawnshore, Emerald Stair, Shatterscarp, and Galawain’s Tusks. Once you’ve found your first cartographer, you’re tasked with reporting back to Sanza to inform him of the fate of his ill-fated assistant.
Annoyingly enough, there doesn’t seem to be a quest marker to guide you to the map maker’s location on the Dawnshore main map. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find Sanza in Avowed. Aside from the side quest, he’s worth tracking down as he’s a reliable source of enchanting materials to upgrade unique weapons in the early game along with Paradisan Ladder and the Woedica’s treasure map.

Avowed Sanza location
To find Sanza, you’ll need to travel to his shop called, suitably enough, Sanza’s Emporium in Paradis Hightown in Dawnshore. You can gain access to the northern district via the Paradis Hightown entrance, which is east of Paradis and just west of the God’s Gate Beacon. You’ll reach it as part of the main story as well.
Once you’re inside Paradis Hightown, head southwest past the Aedyran Headquarters towards the High Market district. Just before reaching the market’s fountain, go left up a flight of stairs below the building with the red beams making up its facade. Enter the building and you’ll find Sanza at the counter on the left.

Confusingly, to find Sanza’s Emporium on the map, you’ll need to select the Northern Paradis map rather than the Dawnshore map. This will give you a close-up of Paradis Hightown, marking all merchants, including Sanza, and beacons. Using this makes it much easier to reach the Emporium. This is especially useful in the latter stages of the Mapping the Living Lands quest when you’ll need to fast travel back to Dawnshore to report back to the man several times.
