Brave the heights and grapple to the very top of the lighthouse near Claviger’s Landing and you’ll stumble across a curious treasure map penned by a certain Captain Henqua. It apparently leads to his plundered riches somewhere to the north, but all you have is a sketched image to go.
The drawing depicts the valley to the north of Claviger’s Landing and to the west of Paradis, seemingly pointing to a small beach on the river bank below a large stone bridge and tower. In this guide, we’ll walk you through where to find Captain Henqua’s Spoils treasure map location in Avowed.
Where to find the Captain Henqua’s Spoils treasure map location
To find the Captain Henqua’s Spoils treasure map location, head out of Claviger’s Landing and follow the road north past the mill next to the river, and to the crumbling Old Pargrun Wall that the road cuts through. When you see a shack with a drawing of a xaurips in white on it and the Western Pargrun Wall Beacon, take the path right.
Follow the path to the water’s edge keeping the wall on your left. There’s a group of xaurips on the rocky hill to the right that you’ll likely want to clear out before continuing forward. Keep following the path until it cuts through the crumbling wall. Instead of following it, go to the river to the west.
Not far from the wall and near a set of two scraggly trees, you’ll spot a small mound of stones on the water’s edge. Jump down to the stones then into the water near the tree roots. Swim down and into the cave on your right. Swim through and up to find a cavern with mushrooms.
Captain Henqua’s treasure is in the chest. Inside, you’ll find x10 Silver Fenning, a Common Leather Cuirass, x1 Iron Chunk, x1 Softwood Branch, and x1 Pelt. There’s also the Wind and Wave unique shield to the left of the chest.
