The Construction Derby takes you to a shifting building site up in the clouds with some nods to the seminal 90s rhythm game PaRappa the Rapper. There are 7 bots and 3 puzzle pieces to find, but as always, a few of them are extremely well hidden.
We’ll walk you through where to find all the bots and puzzle pieces on the Construction Derby planet. If you’re making your way through the Gorilla Nebula, we also have collectibles guides for the Sky Garden, Creamy Canyon, and Az-Tech Trail levels.
Bot 1
This one is near the start of the level, just after you meet the first three monkey enemies. Hop up the concrete steps and the bot is hanging from a red vertical piece of metal.
Bot 2
You’ll find this one inside the cement pouring machine just after the first shattering glass floor bridge and just before grabbing the first magnet. Defeat the enemies then pull on the rope to turn on the machine, releasing the bot.

Climb the ladder and use the boost ability to reach the bot. Captured by VideoGamer
Bot 3
After acquiring the dog boost ability, destroy the glass ahead, then turn around and note the ladder. Use the platform to get up to the ladder, then climb up and use the platforms to reach the highest point where you’ll find the bot.
Bot 4
Once you have the boost ability, press on until you come to a pit full of cubes. Go through it and climb up the ladder. The bot is suspended by a flying bot at the top of the ladder.

Spray the paint to create ledges, but watch out, they disappear quickly. Captured by VideoGamer
Bot 5 – Lovestruck Lyricist
Once you’ve picked the boost ability, continue forward until you hit a button that releases a stream of paint. Look right and you’ll see the paint create steps leading to a tower with a blue door. Enter the blue door to access a hidden area. Use the controller to paint ledges, then use them to reach the PaRappa bot above.
If a gap feels to big, it means you need to use the dog boost ability to get across.

Bot 6
When you boost up above the sliding paint button, boost across the large circular platform, defeat the two enemies, then look right to see a blue dog boost pad. Hop across then boost across to the pad, launching you up to the top of the crate tower where you’ll find the bot.

Bot 7 – Shredding Sheep
Not long before the end of the level, you’ll reach two hopping bunny enemies. Defeat them then go right across the spinning glass platform. On the next platform is the Lammy bot, along with two electric enemies.
Puzzle 1
During the flying section at the very start of the level, you’ll find the puzzle piece on the first of the second set of cranes before you land.

Puzzle 2
After getting the dog boost ability, break through the glass, then take a right out onto a balcony. Pull on the string to get a magnet, then gather up the spray paint cans. Throw them at the target on the crane then boost across then grab the puzzle piece.

Puzzle 3
When you reach the platform with the two bunny enemies near the end of the level, hop down the hidden floor below. Pull on the string to reveal a set of green computer chip blocks in the ground. Walk over them until you sense the strongest rumble. Jump and laser the block to reveal the puzzle piece.
