Looking for information on what are the Apex Legends Breakout Twitch Drops and how to earn them? Apex Legends newest season – Breakout – is bringing with it yet more freebies for fans of the battle royale shooter to nab.
There’s plenty to look forward to, as we found out from the Apex Legends Season 20 Breakout patch notes, but also some unique Apex Legends Breakout rewards for players to earn over the course of the season. But if you prefer something more passive, the new season will also see a fresh set of Twitch Drops too.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Twitch Drops allow you to watch your favourite streamers playing the game on the platform – and in return for your attention, and just a few additional steps – you’ll earn some sweet rewards to boot. Let’s take a look what’s on offer, and how you can get hold of them.
What are the Apex Legends Breakout Twitch Drops?
There’s a whopping six Twitch drops to earn over the course of the season, with a new one available every two weeks. Each is related to the Legend that will be free during that period, as Respawn unlocks each one for a limited time – but you can keep said legends if you complete their challenges.
- February 13 – February 27: ‘Wear Your True Colors’ Holospray (Seer)
- February 27 – March 12: ‘Look At This Fellas!’ Holospray (Fuse)
- March 12 – March 26: ‘I Deserve This’ Holospray (Rampart)
- March 26 – April 9: ‘Bleep’ Holospray (Mad Maggie)
- April 9 – April 23: ‘Reigning Champ’ Holospray (Loba)
- April 23 – May 7: I’ve Arrived Holospray (Valkyrie)
How to earn the Apex Legends Breakout Twitch Drops
To earn these Twitch drops, you must watch one hour of any Twitch streamer playing Apex Legends with Drops Enabled between the dates above to unlock the corresponding skin.
- Head to your EA Account settings and log in to the same EA account you use to play Apex Legends with.
- Now, under this settings page select the ‘Connections’ option and find Twitch.
- Press ‘Link’ and you’ll be taken to a Twitch sign-in page.
- You might be asked to verify your account using 2FA or an app authenticator, so be ready for those.
- Click Authorise, and then you’ll be taken to a new window where you can link your account.
- You can check if the connection has gone through by returning to the Connections page on your EA Account and look under ‘Twitch’.
Then, simply look for a streamer who’s playing Apex Legends with Drops Enabled during the corresponding times, and watch for one hour. Once you’re done, you should see a pop up, but you can track your progress in your Twitch Drops inventory page. Click the ‘claim now’ button to send the freebies to your game. Simple as that.
That should be all you need to know to claim your free Twitch drops for the Apex Legends Breakout season. For more on the game, check out our Apex Legends Bloodhound guide or our Apex Legends Octane guide for a complete rundown of their abilities, backstory, and our best tips and tricks.
