AC Mirage Preload – How to preload?

Now depending on which platform you’re playing the game on, you’ll preload Assassin’s Creed Mirage a little bit differently. First things first, for each of these, you’ll have to have pre-purchased a digital copy of the game on the account you’re using.

For PlayStation 4 and 5 users, you’ll follow these steps:

  • Head to the PlayStation Home Screen.
  • Scroll over to Games Library.
  • Once in the Games Library, select Assassin’s Creed Mirage, and select the countdown timer.
  • Here, you can set the game to automatically download once the timer reaches zero.

For Xbox One, Series X|S, you’ll follow these steps:

  • On the console, load up the Store.
  • Search for Assassin’s Creed Mirage.
  • Select “Pre-install”. Once the game can be installed, the console will take care of the rest.

If you’re a PC player, you’ll do something similar to the PlayStation:

  • Whether you’re using the Ubisoft Connect or Epic Games Launchers, head into the Games Library.
  • Select Assassin’s Creed Mirage
  • Select “Download” or “Pre-Install” and the launcher will install the game.

As mentioned, preload is available for PC, Xbox, and PS5 right now, so you can get the game downloading ahead of the official launch. Preloading the game is a very important thing to do for a couple of reasons. For one, you’ll be able to jump straight into the action as soon as the game goes live, barring any day-one patches that may need to be applied. Secondly, depending on your internet connection speed, you’ll be able to bypass everyone who is downloading the game on launch day, alleviating any download server load issues. This is less of an issue nowadays, but it’s something to think about.
