Tom Orry, Editor – Football Manager 2013, PC

I’ve come to the conclusion that I’ll only care about the PS4 and next Xbox if they offer a new version of Football Manager to play. They won’t, and I am really excited about both the new consoles, but FM is the only game I’m playing at the moment. I’ve now won everything as Barcelona, doing the quadruple in one season – a season which included a 9-1 Champions League final victory over Real Madrid and a mammoth 25-point gap at the top of the league. I think I can say this with the evidence to back it up: I’m a big deal.

I’m tempted to pick up Ni No Kuni at the weekend, and I still want to play DmC, so who knows, maybe I’ll have something else to talk about next week.

David Scammell, Deputy News Editor – Call of Duty: Black Ops Declassified, PlayStation Vita

Well, that was quick. I would say that it only took 60 minutes for the credits to roll on Declassified, but that would be a lie. Not because it took me any longer to finish (it genuinely is that short, if not less so), but because there aren’t any credits in Black Ops Declassified. Perhaps Nihilistic (or nStigate as it’s now called) was so embarrassed by what it had created, it thought it best to spare any further blushes by naming individuals.

Instead, then, after beating the ‘campaign’ and blasting away Daddy Menendez (don’t ask, BLOPS 2 fans – it’s nowhere near as interesting as it may sound), rather than offer any type of ending cinematic, or even a fade to black, the game simply presents players with two options: ‘Replay Operation’ or ‘Return To Menu’. ‘Return To Vendor’, I feel, would have made for a far more appealing alternative.

Matt Lees, Video Production Editor – Chivalry, PC

I’m not usually a fan of blood and guts, but all things considered it’s been a grizzly week. Nellis taught me how to play Chivalry (and murdered me countless times in the process) and I got stuck into Surgeon Simulator 2013 and repeatedly failed to perform an adequate heart transplant. Smashing up ribs with a hammer is great fun, even if I can’t seem to get further than that.

The final game I’ve been playing this week is the classic Theme Hospital, which I fired up for a bit of Extended Play Classics. Pop back to the site on Sunday to check out my NHS-inspired adventures. Expect useless architectural planning, gigantic toilets, and a healthy quantity of avoidable deaths.
