Tom Orry, Editorial Director – Bound, PS4

I’ve been playing Bound on PS4 this week. It’s one of the most interesting games I’ve ever played, but I can’t really say much more than that until next week. It follows on nicely from Abzu and Everybody’s Gone the Rapture, as yet another game that isn’t really a game in the traditional sense. I’m not sure when I became the person that plays all of these games, but it’s clearly happened.

I think I’ll get away with saying that Bound looks incredible. Just take a look at a trailer to see it in action. It’s quite wonderful and a real work of art.

Simon Miller, Head of Video Production – Reigns, PC, iOS, Android

Before I played Reigns, I was hoping it was an officially licensed WWE product that would take me through the life of times of former champion Roman Reigns. It wasn’t…

While I considered turning the computer off and hurling into a wall – such was my frustration – I instead decided to keep a cool head, and investigate to see what the video game known as ‘Reigns’ actually was. I believe this was the correct decision.

Devolver Digital’s latest outing is a strange one. On its most basic level it could be described as a Game Of Thrones card experience. As ruler of a distant kingdom where characters look like they’re from South Park, it’s up to you to either agree or disagree with numerous decision that appear to you on different cards. It’s as simple as clicking left, or clicking right, but an erroneous or wayward choice can often see your time at the top brought to a horrifying and miserable end.

In order to stop this from happening, you must observe the icons that appear at the top of the screen. Representing the current state of your empire, allowing any of them to deplete will mean instant death. And no one likes dying.

Certainly one to be toyed with as opposed to abused, Reigns is an original and unique title that will be fun… for about 10 minutes.

Jim Trinca, Video Producer – No Man’s Sky, PS4, PC

Tom wanted me to write a couple of paragraphs about No Man’s Sky, which I am qualified to do, having played it enough to write 14 paragraphs on the subject here. You should go and read those paragraphs, because they are good. There are definitely 14 paragraphs in the review, I checked.

No Man’s Sky is sort of not good, but sort of also is. Which seems contradictory, but if you read the other 15 paragraphs I’ve written on the subject, you’ll find my take on it is considered, and nuanced. Please go and do that now.

On this, the 17th paragraph I have written about No Man’s Sky, I would like to end my penultimate paragraph about No Man’s Sky by saying that it has been a pleasure writing a number of paragraphs about No Man’s Sky.

Is that enough paragraphs about No Man’s Sky, Tom?
