Recommendation of the Week: No More Heroes, Wii

Suda 51's latest action spectacular finally arrives on Wii this week and it's one all real gamers should enjoy. The game tells the story of Travis Touchdown, an anime fan who lives in the fictional town of Santa Destroy, California. An unexpected turn of events sees Travis approached by the head hunter for an assassin organisation and Travis must prove himself worthy by defeating ten other killers.

It's a shame the European release features the same censorship as the Japanese release, especially given the North American version has all the blood and gore intact. However, hardcore Wii owners waiting for an adult game to play on their cutesy console should most definitely check this out.

Also out this week

FlatOut: Head On, PSP: Following releases on PS2, Xbox, and Xbox 360, the FlatOut franchise has made its way, carnage intact, to the Sony handheld. We're big fans of the home console versions and this PSP edition does nothing to change that.

Odin Sphere, PS2: Vanillaware's gorgeous 2D side-scrolling action RPG makes it to Europe this week under the wing of Square Enix and we're thrilled to see it, complete with optimised video for PAL gamers and the original 60Hz video mode. It's not often the PS2 has a release to make other consoles jealous, but this is certainly one to dust off your console for.

Harvest Moon: Magical Melody, Wii: With the huge success of MySims and no sign of Animal Crossing on Wii, this fun farming game should cultivate some interest in the casual Wii gamer. In addition to the regular farming duties, players will also be able to enjoy a selection of mini-games with friends.
