Welcome to Heads-up, VideoGamer.com's weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you'll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Tuesday we'll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday's post. Time to splash the cash.

Recommendation of the Week: Burnout Paradise, Xbox 360 and PS3

I know it was released last week, but this week's releases aren't up to much and you're much better off picking-up Burnout Paradise or holding on until next week when there'll be a host of titles vying for your cash.

Also out this week

Medieval II: Total War Gold Edition (PC): Now available packed with the Kingdoms expansion for the bargain price of £30 - £17.99 if you do some internet shopping - there's not been a better time to enjoy this brilliant RTS.

PES 2008 DS: We've not actually played this one yet, but Konami is certainly packing lots into the DS cart. In addition to a host of single-player modes the game will feature two-player game share and up to four-players when each has a copy of the game.

Kingdom Under Fire: Circle of Doom (Xbox 360): Published by Microsoft you'd expect this action title to deliver the goods, but reports suggest otherwise. You'll have to wait until Friday for our verdict so you might want to hold back on any pre-order until then.

And the rest...

Lineage II: The Chaotic Throne - Kamael + 15 Day Time Card Bundle (PC)

NFL Tour (Xbox 360)

The Sims Castaway Stories (PC)
