Welcome to Heads-up, our weekly feature which gives you an at-a-glance run-down on the games you’ll be able to buy or rent this weekend. Every Monday we’ll pick out the best of the bunch, link to our reviews and previews and keep you in the video game loop so you have enough time to pre-order for Friday’s post. Time to smash open your piggy bank so you can spend its coin-shaped guts.

It’s a great week to be a gamer, whether you’re into action, simulation or casual-friendly Kinect titles. Batman: Arkham City is our pick of the week, having scored an amazing 10/10 in our Batman: Arkham City review. SEGA and Sports Interactive release their 2012 edition of Football Manager, proving that it’s still possible to make plenty of improvements to the franchise. The game earned an impressive 9/10 in our Football Manager 2012 review.
