The iconic Battle Bus has officially returned to the island following the chaotic launch of Fortnite Chapter 7. After being replaced by the tsunami and surfing, Epic Games has decided to bring back the classic landing method. However, the bus is not guaranteed to spawn in every game, which is a surprising change.
The latest Fortnite update also brought back Blitz and Reload, two fan-favorite modes. In addition to this, Fortnite now offers another free skin, and you can unlock it by completing new ranked quests.
The Fortnite Battle Bus has returned, but there’s a new twist
Next time you launch Fortnite, there is a decent chance that you will see the Battle Bus. More specifically, in every match, you have an 80% chance of getting the iconic bus. If you don’t get the bus, you will stay with the tsunami and ride a wave to your landing spot.
This change comes only a day after Epic Games buffed the spawn rate of Fortnite chests. Thanks to these two changes, you can now select your favorite spot and start the match with a lot more loot than before. Even if you end up riding the wave, you’ll still get more loot, regardless of your landing spot.
This change is a direct response to player feedback regarding the randomness of the surfing mechanic. While the tsunami looks cool, players missed the ability to choose their drop spots strategically. Now, we have a mix of classic gameplay and a fun little twist that will keep things spiced up.
The future is even more exciting for the Fortnite community, as Epic will release the Winterfest event shortly. On top of this, the second week of December will bring back OG and Delulu game modes.
