Spanish website Masgamers is claiming the Silent Hill 1 Remake is set for a reveal at The Game Awards on December 11, citing an alleged “Japanese insider”. There’s no article on the publication’s website, but there is an Instagram post translated on X by Silent Hill aficionado Malik (via Rino).
The translation reads, “A Japanese insider indicated that Konami is preparing a first trailer for the Silent Hill 1 Remake, which would premiere during The Game Awards 2025”. Remember that this is just a rumor rather than anything official.
Seeing Silent Hill 1 at The Game Awards would be surprising. It was confirmed to be officially in development earlier this year, but there are reports that it has actually been in development for over three years. There are also persistent rumors that Silent Hill Townfall is releasing early 2026, so you’d figure that would be the most likely to appear at Geoff Keighley’s show.
Whether it shows up or not, we cannot wait for Bloober Team’s retelling of the PS1 masterpiece. The Silent Hill 2 Remake was phenomenal, so Bloober Team has justifiably earned the trust of all Silent Hill fans.
Konami’s legendary horror series has been flawless since returning to the spotlight. The SH2 Remake is incredible, but so too is Silent Hill f, proving a huge success, selling over one million copies in just three days.
Townfall will be the next entry, followed by the remake of SH1. Rumors further claim Bloober Team is preparing a Silent Hill 3 Remake while also working on an original IP heavily inspired by Resident Evil.
