Gears of War 4 could come to PC, The Coalition studio head Rod Fergusson has revealed.

Asked by Game Informer whether there is any chance the game could come to the platform, Fergusson simply replied: "Possibly".

Fergusson's response follows recent announcements from Microsoft that it is to bring a free-to-play version of Xbox One exclusive Forza Motorsport 6 to PC this spring, and release a PC version of Quantum Break simultaneously with the Xbox One version.

It also released a PC version of last year's Xbox One exclusive Gears of War: Ultimate Edition last week. Killer Instinct: Season 3 is also due to come to the platform.

"At Xbox we believe gamers should be able to play the games they want, with the people they want, on the devices they want," Xbox chief Phil Spencer said last week. "Making more of our popular games available for gamers to play on either Xbox One or Windows 10, each powered by Xbox Live, is another important step towards this vision. We are committed to delivering amazing gaming experiences for gamers who play on consoles, PCs or both."

Gears of War 4 launches on Xbox One this autumn. A PC version has yet to be announced.

Zero f*cks given.

It looks like Gears, but given how Gears has worn out it's appeal on most people, it'll have to do something incredible for it to gain renewed appeal to anyone on any platform.

As for this PC thing, it's actually starting to grate a bit. MS seem intent on pushing PC (of course, they're Microsoft), but really, given how badly they keep disappointing people with the Xbox One's lack of features/functionality, awful exclusives, constant errors and network downtime, and just a complete failure to deliver anything unique that could sell the console, I'm just not expecting anything good to happen anytime ever.

I'm really sick of companies who screw things up, choosing to move on and plug new or different products rather than fixing the crap that they sold/caused. MS is doing it with the Xbone, Nintendo is doing it with the Wii U (the last Direct was once again GREAT news for N3DS owners, but just plain, old crap for the Wii U), and Square Enix with JC3 (I highly doubt they'll ever fix it. They've seriously f*cked with people there.).

These aren't the only ones either. I'm just having a hard time finding any content for any platform that's worth playing tbh. Everything is riddled with "DLC" and "Season Passes" and "Microtransactions" and crap (read solid but boring) gameplay and just nothing much else.

I'm bored. Really bored. Fallout 4 is great, but after 320 hours, I'm kinda bored of that too, I want to play something else, but there isn't anything.

I think Elite : Dangerous looks good, but I figure I might as well wait for a sale. It's been out for a while, it'll probably go on offer the day after I buy it, so I'm being stubborn and waiting instead.

F*ck video games. They're total sh*te.

Hopefully it's cross buy, save, play, assuming of course that it's actually coming to PC. I'll have the option to sit at my monitor in the day, or relax in front of my TV in the evening, what's not to like about that. I also have friends who play exclusively on one device or another, so it'll be good to have the opportunity to play as one group for a change. We've recently been using the cross-play feature of Rocket League to play together & it works great! More of this stuff is only a good thing in my opinion.
