Xbox 360 gets free Monster Hunter Frontier in Japan
Microsoft partners with Capcom to sweeten the deal for new Xbox buyers in Japan.
Xbox 360 bundles in Japan are about to get a whole lot more appealing, as Microsoft partners with Capcom to include Monster Hunter Frontier in the box for free.
To commemorate an upcoming update for Monster Hunter Frontier on September 28, Microsoft and Capcom will release the "Xbox 360 250 Gigabyte Monster Hunter Frontier Online Trial Pack." Launching on the same day as the update, the limited edition bundle will carry the same ¥29,800 price tag as the standard system.
In addition to all the usual gubbins, the new bundle will include product codes for downloading Monster Hunter Frontier Online, in addition to special bonus events for use in the game.
Monster Hunter Frontier differs from other games in the series in that it is a fully-fledged MMORPG. The code in the bundle will allow players to play to Hunter level 2 for free, after which a monthly subscription will need to be purchased.
Monster Hunter Frontier is currently unavailable in North America and Europe.
