Microsoft has promised that the Xbox One interface, including the friends and party system, "will get better", and that it is aware of criticisms players have with the current Xbox One dashboard.

"I had a meeting today about [the Xbox One party system] and I can say that things will get better," Xbox LIVE's director of programming Larry Hryb told fans on Reddit. "I can't offer a timeline of a list of what till be addressed first, but we are aware of the issue and things will get better."

Some players have accused Xbox One's party system of being a backwards step from Xbox 360, with a new overcomplicated process making it more difficult to find parties and join friends' games.

Many have also requested that Microsoft brings back the Xbox 360 Guide, a menu screen accessible by pushing the Xbox button on the Xbox 360 controller. Pushing the button on the Xbox One controller currently takes users back to the home screen.

A dedicated website listing changes that Xbox One players would like to see to the interface has also been set up, which Microsoft has previously said it is listening to.

The day that Microsoft listens to it's customers will be a cold day in hell! Everything on this new console cost money as if 550.00 dollars for a problem child of a gaming console isn't enough $70 dollars a game that have more problems to deal with than Xbox can handle they are absolutely draining kids and there parents bank accounts dry! All for a system that's should have Been delayed a few more months for testing I've got a Xbox one day one addition that's only a paper weight because Microsoft can't replace these Chinese pieces of crap fast enough due to high replacement request. Not saying that PlayStation is a better console but I bet the Japanese don't rush any of there building of systems or use cheap Chinese parts in it either! Major mistakes will cost Microsoft customers especially if there customer service is as unhelpful as it is and has been in handling problems.
