Telltale CEO Dan Connors has told VideoGamer.com that the digital distribution specialist is not currently working on a new game based on the much-loved Day of the Tentacle, although admits they are “interested”.

“That’s not one that we’re currently working on at the moment,” said Connors when questioned about Day of the Tentacle.” “But we’ll see. We’re certainly always interested and open.”

Regarding Telltale’s next project, Connors said: “We’re looking at a bunch of different IP, and we’ve got a few original designs floating around the studio we’re getting closer and closer to a position to green-light.”

Connors also revealed that the iPhone is certainly a platform on which the studio is looking to expand into, although not through a release of Tales of Monkey Island, at least not in the near future.

“I believe right now they’ve [LucasArts] put the Secret of Monkey Island out on the iPhone, so I don’t think we’re going to try to compete with that. But we are looking at iPhone for our other stuff,” said Connors.

He added: “We just have to figure out what’s the right mechanic for the phone and what people are going to respond to the best.”
