New Helldivers 2 Major Order will give players a new weapon, but choose wisely

It has been a hectic time in Helldivers 2, with players spending the past six days defending 10 different planets in the previous Major Order. At the 11th hour the Helldivers managed to complete the event and earn 50 Medals for their troubles. Now, it is time to look to the future and the latest Major Order is now live.

There is a twist though, a new weapon will be given to players as a reward, but which weapon will depend on the outcome. Players must choose between the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines or the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher, with the Anti-Tank Mines being rewarded for liberating Choohe, and the Airburst Rocket Launcher for liberating Penta.

In a post on X, Arrowhead Game Studios announced the latest Major Order saying

“Helldivers, it’s time to choose between liberating Choohe or Penta. Depending on your choice, you will receive either the MD-17 Anti-Tank Mines or the RL-77 Airburst Rocket Launcher.”

It is interesting that Arrowhead will make players choose which to liberate, and also that they are giving a new weapon as a reward. After the mammoth task of defending 10 planets in the previous Major Order, perhaps the Helldivers deserve a reward for their efforts. Although the Anti-Tank Mines would be a more unique item, it is likely that the Airburst Rocket Launcher will be the successful choice, although time will tell.
