The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword won’t be released until after Ocarina of Time for 3DS hits stores, Nintendo president Satoru Iwata has revealed. The news came from Nintendo’s Third Quarter Financial Results Briefing.
“The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time has been in the process of being remade for Nintendo 3DS, and this Nintendo 3DS version is expected to hit the market earlier,” stated Iwata.
Nintendo has confirmed that Ocarina of Time for the 3DS won’t hit stores until after E3 in June, so it looks like we’re in for quite a wait for Skyward Sword on Wii.
Nintendo has confirmed that Skyward Sword will be released in 2011, so we’re going to put money on a release in the last three months of the year. What’s for sure is that 2011 is shaping up to be a great year for Zelda fans.
