You might have heard about BattleBit remastered aimbot, so what is it?

BattleBit remastered has been one of the most popular games of the year so far. The low-poly high-destruction gameplay has been enthralling many, as has its huge 254-player server sizes. With so many players in a single server though, the chances of running into one that is using cheats or hacks increases.

It seems that aimbots are becoming increasingly popular, so what are they in BattleBit remastered?

What is BattleBit remastered aimbot?

Like with other FPS games, an aimbot is a cheat or hack that uses an illicit mod to allow you to automatically aim perfectly at enemy players. Playing against someone using this can be frustrating, to say the least, as it totally defeats the point of the game. People using an aimbot aren’t actually showing any skill or tactically nouse.

The makers of BattleBlock are very aware of the ability of these kinds of cheats to drive people away from playing the game. For example, they have been known to ban people using BattleBit Remastered mods and if their anti-cheat systems detect someone using an aimbot they will receive a ban.

There has also been recent news that it looks likely that BattleBit will be actually changing the anti-cheat software they are using. At the moment, and since the game’s release, it has used Easy Anti-Cheat software. However, it is looking likely they will eventually make the switch over to Faceit’s anti-cheat system. This is more robust and so would likely reduce the number of aimbots using players you interact with.

There would be unintended side effects to this. For example, right now you can play BattleBit Remastered on the Steam Deck. However, this would cease to be the case. This is because changing to FaceIt would mean that BattleBit Remastered would not work on Linux which is what the Steam Deck runs on.

Whether or not this sacrifice is worth it, to curb increasing aimbot we will leave to you.
