You might be wondering when Twitter is going to become X, Elon Musk’s new chosen name for the social media app.
We’d known that Twitter’s new owner was toying with the idea of a potential rebrand for the social media app for a little while. X Corp. was founded and announced back in March of this year, though it lay dormant for a while before Musk’s recent reveal that Twitter was soon to see a total rebrand.
The bird app, alongside its recognisable Larry the Bird logo, is soon to become X, and the logo will become an X. That’s pretty much the core of it, though there’s already been some pretty significant criticism of the rebrand. People are concerned that this is really the end of Twitter and that the new app brand, alongside features, will inhibit a large user-base from accessing the platform. With an eye to look to commerce, banking, and more, users are worried that the social media aspect of Twitter is being abandoned too.

It seems as though Twitter has already begun its metamorphic transition to X, with the X.com domain now redirecting to Twitter.com. The Twitter logo has very recently been replaced by the new X:
