Let’s get down to business with the Xiaomi 13 Ultra specs and price rumours, specifically the news surrounding its IMX858 camera!

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is due for release on April 18th following on from the Xiaomi 13 released late last year. It will likely be up there with the Samsung S23 Ultra and Google Pixel 7 Pro which are both among the best Android phones of 2023.

The Xiaomi 13 Ultra is rumoured to house some impressive specs, with a particular focus on its camera quality. Now confirmed by Xiaomi themselves, the rear of the phone will pack an impressive 50MP sensors which is no small feat.

The main sensor is a one-inch Sony IMX989, which is also found in their 13 Pro (that’s been super popular). Combining the Sony IMX989 with three IMX858 sensors boasting ultrawide, 3x telephoto and 5x telephoto duties and you’ll be setup with some stellar shots.

Let’s not get lost in the camera features though – the Xiaomi 13 Ultra already looks like it’ll be all sorts of impressive features. And don’t worry, we’re not forgetting about the price either. We’ll go into more depth below.

As we’ve briefly mentioned, the camera specs seem to have the most hype. Xiaomi Ultra 13 has confirmed with the 13 Ultra will have Leica-tuned cameras with special Summicron lenses and Sony IMX989 and 858 sensors. The 50MP Sony IMX858 sensors will improve noise reduction and offer HDR features too.

At this rate, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra looks like it will be more like a camera than a phone boasting highly versatile features.

On top of all this, the 13 Ultra’s rumoured Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 will make the phone pretty powerful. Obviously, it’s a significant upgrade over the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor generally uses on last year’s Androids, and is also an excellent chip for gaming which we’ve discussed in greater depth. If you’re keen on mobile gaming, you’ll find 16GB RAM combined with a 120Hz refresh rate will make the Xiaomi 13 Ultra an absolute powerhouse.

Xiaomi has also ticked the boxes in the charging department, with a rumoured 4,900mAh battery that can charge quickly at 90W. If the rumours prove true, this will be almost double the charging speed of the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra.

So, to put it lightly, the Xiaomi 13 Ultra looks like it will make a huge splash upon release with a lot to look forward to.

Xiaomi 13 Ultra rumoured price

Following a Weibo sourced leak, an entry-level price for the Xiaomi 13 Ultra could be priced at around 6,300 yuan which equates to around $915. This is for the 8GB/256GB version of the phone, meaning the top-end configuration will cost slightly more, at around 8,000 yuan or $1,165.

It’s worth reiterating that these are mere rumours, and it’s likely that the pricing of the phone could be different for the global market. After all, Xiaomi is a Chinese phone company.

If these prices prove accurate, they’ll be slightly higher than last year’s Xiaomi 12S Ultra that launched for $1,090 for the 16/512GB version.
