If you were interested in the rumours, leaks and speculation swirling around when the Nothing Phone 2 release date could be, don’t worry. You’ve come to the right place.

Nothing Phone (1) was the underdog competitor to big brand names released in July 2022. It was developed by Carl Pei’s company ‘Nothing’ which he founded after leaving the company OnePlus which he also founded. OnePlus has turned into a behemoth of a phone developer, so with that kind of history it’s clear to see why people are interested in Pei’s latest work. With the first release under their belt though, people are now wondering when they could be seeing the Nothing Phone 2.

Let’s get into it.

Nothing Phone 2 release date speculation

Our speculation on when the Nothing Phone 2 could release places a potential release date in Q2 or Q3 of 2023. We think this is a reasonable speculated release date due to recent leaks tempered with the previous comments of Nothing’s founder Carl Pei. Let’s break that down a bit.

Although, the Nothing Phone 2 was confirmed as in the works by Nothing’s founder Carl Pei in a tweet back in December 2022, he said in that same tweet that the ‘Phone (2) isn’t launching anytime soon.’ Now we’re further along into 2023 people are starting to wonder if that ‘anytime soon’ bracket is drawing to a close.

In an interview with TechCrunch in February this year, Pei noted that the US would be a major focus of the next rollout and that the Nothing Ear (2) release was a sort of test run for how that could play out. With the Nothing Ear (2) now well and truly launched, it’s possible that the results might be coming in and Pei and Nothing can start to take their findings forward. Furthermore, Pei confirmed in this same interview that Nothing were looking to release in 2023. So we’ve got an upper-bracket. Pei currently has his sights set on a 2023 release. But when in 2023? This is where things get a bit murkier.

Nothing Phone 2 release date – leaks and rumors

In a leak that was caught by 91 mobiles, the Nothing Phone 2 reportedly showed up on the BIS certification website. This reported leak made it seem likely that the Nothing Phone 2 might launch in India soon. That being said, as there has been no official confirmation from Nothing about this, we would take this prediction with a pinch of salt.

Further muddying the water about a potential release date for the Nothing Phone 2 is the company’s history of revealing and releasing products with a very quick turnover between announcing and releasing. Back when the Nothing Ear (2) came out they posted a teaser on March 6, with the product then being released on March 22. This two week period seems to be a pattern Nothing likes. When the Nothing Ear (1) came out on August 17, 2021 it had only been officially launched about two weeks earlier on July 31, 2021.

The bottom line on this one is that you’ll probably get a two-week notice period but we might not know for sure that the Nothing Phone (2) is on the horizon until the release is right around the corner.

We’ll be keeping a close eye on this so make sure to watch this space as we’ll be updating the page with all the relevant news as it comes in.
