Before you commit to a subscription plan, you’ll probably want to know whether your favorite games are supported on GeForce Now currently, or whether they’re set to join the GeForce Now upcoming games list in 2024.

In the wake of CES 2024, Nvidia announced 20 new titles set to be added to GeForce Now this January, with popular titles like Overwatch 2, Assassin’s Creed: Valhalla and Diablo IV just some of the titles we expect to see added to GeForce Now in the coming months.

Nvidia is pretty rigorous in releasing new titles to their games list; since 2021, Nvidia have used GFN Thursdays, a regular blog featuring latest news and announcements for GeForce Now, to release updates to the games list, promising every Thursday new games will be added to the GeForce Now library.

With the games count rising weekly, it’s no surprise that the GeForce Now games list supports over 1500 titles, over 100 of which being free to play. Don’t want to scroll through the full games list to find your favorite titles? No problem, below is a list of the best games on GeForce Now currently, and those we hope to see added to the games library soon.

Best games on GeForce Now 2024

In terms of familiar franchises, GeForce Now is stocked with quite a few big titles gamers likely know and love, however, not all games in a particular series are completely available. For instance, the majority of the Assassin’s Creed games are on there, from Assassin’s Creed III to Mirage, a game which is considered a ‘return to its [Assassin’s Creeds’] roots’ in Videogamer’s Assassin’s Creed Mirage review. However some titles from the Assassin’s Creed franchise are notably excluded, such as: Assassin’s Creed I and II, Brotherhood, Revelations and Rogue. Or if football is more your thing, FIFA 12 through 22 are supported on GeForce Now, unfortunately, this excludes FC 24. Other popular franchises featured on the games list include: Call Of Duty, Grand Theft Auto, The Elder Scrolls,, World of Warcraft, Halo, and Far Cry. There are also a lot of indie games, such as Blair Witch, Firewatch and The Forest.  And various games suitable for children like Roblox, Minecraft and Moving Out 2.

Top Five games on GeForce Now

  1. Cyberpunk 2077 – Released in 2020 and arguably more popular now than ever, Cyberpunk 2077 is an open-world, action RPG set in a dystopian future. Primarily from a first person perspective, the player can complete quests and objectives while also being able to drive vehicles and use various weapons. Cyberpunk features the somewhat typical system of character creation and leveling that is a loved aspect of many RPGs, allowing players to select a gender, customize their character’s physical appearance, as well as select and customize the character’s voice. The open-world setting allows the player to explore at your leisure and fast travel across the map if you don’t feel like walking throughout your gameplay. You could also take the Metro, which was introduced alongside a re-designed Adam Smasher boss fight in update 2.1.
  2. Witcher 3: Wild Hunt – Another CDPR open-world RPG, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is an aesthetically beautiful game that allows the player to explore an extensive map and complete objectives and quests along the way. This game doesn’t feature a huge amount of customization, as you play as Geralt the main character of the franchise, but you can change his beard and hair if you wish, as well as his weapons and armor as you acquire them. Due to how demanding this game is with ray tracing enabled can be on less powerful graphics cards, some gamers may not have experienced the game at its highest settings. Thanks to GeForce Now being cloud based, those with an Ultimate tier subscription will have access to Nvidia’ RTX 4080 rig, so your graphics can be at their best even if you have a low-powered laptop.
  3. Fortnite – Not shocking that this game made it onto the list, initially released by Epic Games back in 2017, Fortnite remains one of the most popular games available. With local and live multiplayer, Fortnite is a very versatile game; you can fight, build, climb, break and roleplay with friends in Battle Royales or in Save The World. Via GeForce Now you will be able to play Fortnite, even if you are trying to run it on an outdated PC.
  4. Baldur’s Gate 3 – Nominated for Game of the Year at the Game Awards in 2023 after its full release, Baldur’s Gate 3 is a high-fantasy RPG based on Dungeons and Dragons, that combines strategy and combat. It’s a frontrunner for having some of the  most in-depth character creations, allowing the player to create a character unique and perfect for you. An expansive fantasy game that you can be immersed in for hours, and which Videogamer declares an ‘RPG experience that rivals the likes of Mass Effect and Dragon Age’ in our Baldur’s Gate 3 review. available from the cloud across various platforms thanks to GeForce Now.
  5. Life is Strange 2 – the episodic sequel to popular indie Life is Strange, Life is Strange 2 is a choice-based adventure game published by Square Enix in 2018. Made up of five episodes, you play as a non-customizable protagonist through various ‘action’ and choice orientated scenes that affect your overall gaming experience. Like others on this list, the Life is Strange franchise are widely considered to be graphically demanding games, which means older computers or consoles may not handle it as well as a newer model with a more powerful GPU would. But through a Priority or Ultimate GeForce Now subscription, you can run it on various devices, Playstation, Xbox, PC and even Switch, without risk of over-extending your hardware.

Honorable mentions

Heavy Rain – This choice-based thriller that lets you play as four different protagonists, taking part in combat and quick-time events throughout, was impressive in terms of both graphics and player interaction. The end result of the game was changed depending on how you had played it – something that is more common now with games like Until Dawn dominating the choice-based-game sphere. Heavy Rain, despite being released in 2010, is still an immersive and engaging experience.

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim – the 2011 open-world RPG set in the fantasy country of Skyrim still remains a vastly popular game for fantasy enthusiasts, and it continues to receive updates even after years since its initial release, and the introduction of the three DLCs. Though not the most up-to-date fantasy RPG available, it’s still a huge game with plenty of quests, side objectives and easter eggs that can keep you occupied beyond fighting bandits killing dragons. After nearly 13 years, 3 DLC’s, the Creation Club and the addition of modding to The Elder Scrolls V on Xbox, this still remains my favorite RPG, and one of my favorite game, in my library. With its large open-world map, dozens of main and side quests, plenty of easter eggs and Bethesda’s attention to detail, its the perfect game that will keep you entertained and playing for hours (or years) and with GeForce Now you can play it from various devices, so long as you have a solid internet connection
