If you’re wondering if it’s possible to pre-order the RTX 4070, we’re going to be going over everything we know about getting in early orders for the new graphics card.

With the RTX 4070 announced on April 12th and set for release today, it’s no wonder gamers are trying to figure out where they can buy in advance.

We should note that with other graphics cards – we tend not to see pre-orders at all. If there is anything, it’s usually set live a few hours before the product launches. This is commonplace with hardware component releases, and we’ve come to accept it.

RTX 4070 pre-order speculation

At the time of writing, despite some of the RTX 4070s having landed early, there aren’t any pre-orders available yet.

We’re hopeful that Nvidia and their AIB manufacturer partners allow pre-orders to go live fairly shortly as the emerging pattern of a few-hour window to secure your graphics card isn’t really helpful to many.

Will you ever be able to pre-order the RTX 4070?

Graphics card pre-orders are extremely hit-and-miss. There’s no evidence to suggest they either are or aren’t coming, so it’s hard to say anything definitively. We did see pre-orders for the RTX 4090 go live on the day, however the same behaviour wasn’t replicated for the RTX 4080 and RTX 4070 Ti. With that in mind – it’s hard to be assertive here.
