Its standout features include a powerful chip that powers its sharp, 120Hz 1080p display boasting an alleged 500 nits of brightness, according to ASUS. You’ve also got an aspect ratio of 16:9, all fitted on a very good-looking 7-inch IPS panel.
While this all sounds very alluring, fans want to know whether the ROG Ally display is touch screen. We’re happy to confirm the ASUS ROG Ally is touch screen. While the mappable buttons and macro keys will be useful for shooter games, and anyone use to using a controller, the touch display is a welcome feature for flexibility. The ROG Ally will load up similarly to a Windows desktop, meaning you’ll be able to use the touch display to navigate the icons and call up the virtual keyboard for typing. The presence of a touch screen certainly gives the ROG Ally a premium feel, even if in practice you’ll be using the buttons to navigate between menus.

Does the ASUS ROG Ally have stylus support?
Since the ROG Ally only has a 7-inch display, using a finger could potentially be a bit fiddly when navigating the menus and clicking on smaller icons. At the time of writing though, ASUS hasn’t officially announced any stylus support. However, since Windows 11 supports it, we wouldn’t be surprised if this support did come in later. After all, it would be great for adventure games, and perhaps allow the Ally to compete more with the Switch.
