Because of its high-stakes, action-packed gameplay, the thrill of potentially winning a Search and Destroy match in Black Ops 6 is unrivaled. Not even a top-fragging TDM session or a slim Gun Game victory can come close to matching the type of fulfillment you get after clutching out a 1vX situation to win your team a round. But even though an S&D mode in BO6 would be nice, having other one-life game modes would be even better.
That’s why, on Reddit, some fans are already asking Treyarch to introduce other competitive one-life modes, like Cyber Attack or BO4’s Heist. For those unfamiliar, the former tasks your team with retrieving an EMP device you can use to destroy the opposing squad’s data center. On the other hand, the latter is exactly what its name implies; you grab the cash located somewhere on the map and head to the extraction zone with it to win rounds.
Another crucial feature players want to return is the ability to revive their teammates. In S&D, once you die, you’re essentially left watching your teammates until the round ends. A revive feature like in Heist completely counteracts that and makes matches more exciting, giving you more room to enjoy matches with barely any downtime.
Now, since Heist was already featured in a Black Ops game, its addition to BO6 seems more likely to happen than a Cyber Attack comeback. But since Treyarch has yet to mention the potential addition of these modes into the game, you may have to temper your expectations for now. Luckily, you shouldn’t have to wait long for more news on the game now that Activision has revealed the Black Ops 6 release date.
