Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes can be finished in under 2 hours and speed run in less than 5 minutes, Game Informer claims.

The mag warns consumers to think of Ground Zeroes as a “paid, standalone version of the Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty demo that was included with Zone of the Enders on the PlayStation 2,” adding, “judged just by the core story mission, Ground Zeroes is short.

“We completed it in just less than two hours. Konami says internal testers can speed run the main mission in around five minutes. How quickly it takes to complete the main mission and explore the camp is up to the player, but the extra missions give the game a little more replayability.”

The length may come as a shock considering the £40 asking price of the next-gen disc release.

Konami wants £19.99 and £29.99 respectively for the Xbox 360 and PS3 digital and retail releases, with the PS4 and Xbox One versions carrying a £10 premium: £29.99 for digital and £39.99 at retail.

The retail SKUs will also carry exclusive bonuses although details on what they are have yet to be revealed.

“While Ground Zeroes has its fair share of fan service, it may be those same fans that take issue with MGS V’s unique distribution strategy and pricing system,” the mag continues.

“That steep of a price tag for a game that rolls credits in under two hours could be a tough sell for Konami.”

Metal Gear Solid 5: Ground Zeroes launches on PS4, PS3, Xbox One and Xbox 360 on March 21. If you’re still considering picking it up, you might want to plump for the PS4 version.
