Dear Esther: Landmark Edition, a console version of 2012’s critically-acclaimed walking sim, will arrive on PS4 and Xbox One on September 20, The Chinese Room has announced.

Published by Curve Digital, the console version ships with a new Director’s Commentary from original creators Jessica Curry, Dan Pinchbeck and Rob Briscoe, along with “graphical and gameplay tweaks” to make it “the most complete version of Dear Esther to date”.

First released on PC in 2012, Dear Esther sees players exploring an island and is considered the spiritual predecessor to Everybody’s Gone to the Rapture.

The console versions will be available digitally for £7.99.
