Payday 3 on PS5 wasn’t working because an older version of the game had been rolled out. Essentially, it was unplayable because the PS5 version was a much older version that Starbreeze ever anticipated to be available on PS5. Andreas Penninger, the lead producer of Payday 3, has said that it was “out of their control” and that Sony will be fixing it. Seeing as it successfully rolled out to other devices, it seems like a mishap between Sony and the game.
How to fix Payday 3 not working on PS5?
Sony has now rolled out the correct batch to PS5 so all you need to do is turn on your system and get playing. The issue was never something that PS5 gamers could have resolved themselves as it was a error between Sony and Payday 3. Now, as long as the correct version is in play, you should have access to in-game rewards, bonuses, and matchmaking.
