Yooka-Laylee’s latest trailer is making a very strong case for the game having the best named characters ever seen.
Released on Friday, the new trailer showcases a range of characters heroes Yooka and Laylee will encounter on their platforming adventure.

Check out the trailer below for a more comprehensive list of the characters, but our favourites include Trowzer the snake (yes, a trouser snake), Kartos (which shares a striking resemblance to brooding God of War protagonist Kratos) and Blasto (a bird which may or may not be angry).
The trailer also reveals that Playtonic Games has teamed up with Yacht Club Games to bring their hero Shovel Knight toYooka-Laylee as an NPC.
Yooka-Laylee will launch in Q1 2017 for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
