Hot on the heels of Sega's announcement that Yakuza 4 HD will be hitting PlayStation 4 in Japan in early 2019, the Sonic the Hedgehog developer has now released the first footage of the game running on Sony's flagship console.

It's all in Japanese, obviously, but the footage pretty much speaks for itself. If you've played Yakuza 4, you should at least get an idea of how the PS4 version has enhanced the game; if not, then just enjoy the glorious punch-ups that unfold.

Yakuza 4 was released on PlayStation 3 back in 2011 in the US and UK, and features four playable characters, including series veteran Kazuma Kiryu.

The Yakuza franchise has been knocking around for over a decade now, and has sold over 11 million copies worldwide to date. The most recent entry (chronologically speaking, that is) was Yakuza 6: The Song of Life. Colm really liked it, too.
