SEGA’s Yakuza series has developed a pretty strong cult following amongst Western gamers, but thus far SEGA hasn’t seen a strong enough reason to bring PS3 exclusive Yakuza 3 to Europe and the US.
However, that could soon change, with 1UP reporting that sources close to the project have revealed the game is currently being localised for release in the US and European markets.
1UP expects more info in the coming weeks, either from SEGA or another publisher (it’s rumoured that Ignition is involved in bringing the game to Europe and the US), with a possible announcement to be made at the Tokyo Game Show later this week.
