A playable demo of XCOM: Enemy Unknown will be available to download from Xbox LIVE Marketplace later today, and from PlayStation Network tomorrow, 2K Games has announced.

The demo includes two levels of the game’s single-player tutorial campaign, introducing players to the XCOM base and the tactical gameplay found out in the field.

The demo will be identical to the one released on Steam two weeks ago.

XCOM: Enemy Unknown has already created a stir amongst critics praising it for its “intuitive and flexible” tactical gameplay. We awarded it 9/10.

The game releases on Xbox 360, PlayStation 3 and PC on Friday.
