Good news for Microsoft, as despite many reported issues with Amazon UK, Xbox One X has managed to shift around 80,000 units in its first week on sale in the UK according to data revealed by GamesIndustry.biz

The number, of which ‘the majority’ is reportedly made up of the special edition Project Scorpio version of the console, means that it actually matches what the Nintendo Switch sold in its first week on sale back in March.

Furthermore, the number surpasses that of the PlayStation 4 Pro, which only managed to sell a little over 50,000 units during its launch week in November last year, although as GamesIndustry.biz notes both of those other consoles also suffered reported stock shortages upon launch.
