Xbox One will release in the US on November 8, one week ahead of the PS4, an alleged leaked marketing email given to Kotaku has revealed.

The email allegedly comes from a source at retail juggernaut Walmart, and discusses the retailer’s upcoming midnight openings – listing the Xbox One for launch on November 8.

However, whilst games such as Madden NFL 25, GTA 5, Battlefield 4 and even the PS4 are listed as “Midnight – Confirmed”, the Xbox One date states “Midnight” only, suggesting that Microsoft is yet to make final confirmation of the release date.

In the UK, the PS4 will release on November 29, and given Microsoft has promised a November release date the Xbox One will have to launch before this date or match the Friday, November 29 release.
