UK retailer GAME has sold out of its launch day stock of Xbox One.

In an update posted to its website on Sunday, GAME said that it had “now reached [its] limit for Xbox One Day One Edition console preorders”, and could no longer guarantee launch day delivery of the standard edition.

“The standard edition console is still available to order,” the post reads, “although we can no longer guarantee you will receive yours on launch day. As soon as we can confirm when the standard edition is available we’ll let you all know.”

VideoGamer.com has contacted GAME to ask whether all orders placed on or before Sunday, August 25 will be fulfilled in time for launch.

GAME is the second major UK retailer to sell out of Xbox One. Last week, Amazon updated its website to say that pre-orders placed beyond Thursday, August 15 could not be guaranteed for launch day delivery and that it would not be receiving any further stock of the Day One Edition.

When contacted about the subject this morning, a Microsoft representative told VideoGamer.com that it would not be commenting on the console’s stock situation.
